Vegan leather alternatives

At Leatherbox we want to offer a suitable collection for every designer. That is why you will find various 100% animal-free leather alternatives in our webshop. Many people know this as vegan leather. A leather alternative may not officially be called vegan leather, apple leather, pineapple leather, cactus leather or mango leather. The word "leather" may only be used for tanned animal skins. Vegan leather alternatives consist out of vegetable raw materials, combined with plastics (PU or PL). Animal-free is therefore not by definition sustainable. The material also usually doesn't last as long as a traditional type of leather.

Great for designers to just give it a try, or to design for customers and friends who only want to use vegan products.
